EMPLOYMENT HISTORY

            April 1991 - Present, Self employed (d.b.a.) Aviation Mechanics. I have performed repairs to general aviation aircraft, at the request of the owners. Aircraft have included Cessna products such as 172’s, C-150/152’s, and Piper products like the PA28 series, and other Experimental aircraft

September 2001 – May 2003, American Flight and Technology Center, Oakland Pontiac Airport MI.

Full-time Director of Maintenance and Consultant for maintenance issues.  Performing major repairs, alterations and annual inspections, for a fleet of 7 mixed Cessna and Piper single engine aircraft.

            February 1994 - April 1996, American Flight and Technology Center, Oakland Pontiac Airport MI. Aviation Maintenance Instructor and Director of Maintenance. As an instructor I have taught basic gas welding, Hydraulics, sheet metal, composite structures, the principals of physics and mathematics.   As the director I directed the scheduling and completion of major and minor maintenance for a fleet of eleven company owned aircraft and for other aircraft on a contract basis..            

            May 1998  - September 1999, Tradewinds Aviation Inc., Director of Maintenance.  Responsibilities included: Supervision and training of all mechanics for a fleet of 4 Hawker Siddley jets, 4 Beech King Air turboprop aircraft and a Canadair Challenger CL601. Accomplishments included P&W PT6 Hot section repairs and Prop STC’s

November 1996 - October 1997, Pro Air Airlines Inc., Maintenance Administrator and Trainer. Responsibilities and Accomplishments include the development of curriculum and training material for a specific jet aircraft familiarization program. Service and inspection of Pro Air’s aircraft; Signature authority for Airworthiness Release and Required Inspection Items (RII);

May 1996 - November 1996, Michigan Institute of Aeronautics, Willow Run Airport, Ypsilanti MI. Instructor, providing class room instruction on the systems and principals associated with the flight and maintenance of modem aircraft. Specific subjects instructed included: An introduction to electronic circuits and controls devices; Hydraulic and Pneumatic lines and fittings.

May 1988 -  April 1991, Northwest Airlines Inc., Duty Manager, shift three, Detroit maintenance. I jointly managed 6 supervisors, 3 clerks and approximately 50 mechanics performing preventive and unscheduled maintenance. As a mechanic I participated on a special team assigned to remove and reinstall all the engines on the DC9 fleet.  I worked in the airlines main base sheet metal repair shop, repairing corroded and damaged aircraft structures and flight controls. At the Detroit Hanger facility I performed Major and Minor repairs to DC-9 and B-727 Aircraft. I received training and certification on all phases of repair on the Boeing 727 series aircraft.

March 1967 -  April 1987 United States Air Force, Inspection and repair of single and twin turbine powered aircraft, to include the F-100, the F-4, and the F/B-111.  Honorable Discharge and Voluntary retirement after 20 years of service.  Other Air Force positions involved Drug education and counseling, and Recruiting.
